Have a horse to move, or a stallion standing?
Listing costs nothing on either side. You set the price or the fee, the buyer or the mare owner comes to you, and the money sits in escrow until the terms are met.
Sell a horse
One horse or a yard full. Photos, video, pedigree and papers on a single page, in front of buyers whose identity has been checked.
- Free to list — you pay only when a sale completes
- The buyer's money is held until the horse and the paperwork check out
Stand a stallion at stud
A stud profile carrying your fee for each covering method, your season capacity, and the contract and the money handled in the same place.
- Mare owners browse the directory and post what they are looking for
- Price live cover, chilled, frozen and ICSI separately
Both are free to list. A fee applies only on a completed, escrow-backed transaction — see pricing.
Every business behind the horse.

What stallion licensing and a performance test prove
Licensing and performance testing measure two different things, and neither measures what most people assume. What each one proves, what it does not, and why winter is when it gets decided.

Breeding a mare: what a covering season really costs
The stud fee is the number everyone quotes and the smallest part of the bill. Here is the shape of a whole covering season — vet, transport, keep and the contract terms that decide what happens if your mare does not hold.

Buying a horse online: what to settle before you pay
A holding deposit is the one payment people send before anything is checked or written down. The order the paperwork and the payment are supposed to happen in.
The things people ask before they start
Is it safe to buy a horse from someone I've never met?
Safer with escrow than without it, and not automatically safe. Escrow holds the money until the agreed conditions are met, so you are not wiring five figures to a stranger on a promise. It does not examine the horse, verify a passport, or make a seller honest — that is what a pre-purchase examination and your own questions are for. Use both. What does it cost?
Listing a horse is free. Fees apply when a sale completes through escrow, and to optional extras like featured placement and verification. Every current figure is on the pricing page rather than quoted here, so you are never reading a number that has since changed. What does a verified badge actually check?
Exactly what it says and nothing more. An identity badge means we checked a document belongs to the person holding the account. A horse verification means we checked specific paperwork against the horse. Neither is an opinion about soundness, temperament or value, and nobody should treat a badge as a substitute for going to see the horse. Can I buy a horse in another country?
Yes, and the paperwork is what decides how smoothly it goes. The passport travels with the horse, an official vet issues a health certificate within a few days of travel, and a transporter will refuse a load whose documents do not match. Start the paperwork the week you agree the price, not the week the lorry comes. How does booking a stallion work?
You browse stallions with their real standing fees by method, send a booking request, and the stud accepts or declines. Money moves against agreed milestones rather than in one payment up front, so a season that does not happen is not a season you have already paid for in full.I'm selling. What do I actually have to do?
Add the horse, write an honest description, and put up photographs that show it as it is. The listings that get replies are the ones that answer the obvious questions before they are asked — height, age, what it has actually done, and what it is not suitable for. Being straight about the last one saves you the viewings that were never going to work.
