Buyer protection, built for horse deals.
Stop wiring money to strangers. On Hoofine you pay through Stripe, our licensed payment provider; every seller is identity-verified; and if the horse is not delivered or you report a problem within 48 hours of handover, we help reverse the payment and run a dispute procedure.
How it works
- 01 · Agreement
Buyer commits to purchase
The buyer starts the purchase and both sides sign the bill of sale. Nothing is charged before that.
- 02 · Payment
Payment through Stripe
Once the bill of sale is signed, the buyer pays through Stripe. The price goes to the seller's Stripe account; Hoofine keeps only its fee.
- 03 · In transit
Seller ships the horse
The seller arranges transport and marks the horse as sent, with carrier and expected arrival.
- 04 · Inspection
48-hour buyer inspection
Buyer confirms delivery. A 48-hour window starts — enough time for a vet check. During this window the buyer can open a dispute.
- 05 · Complete
Sale complete
If no problem is reported, the sale closes. If one is, our team reviews it, and where a refund is due we help reverse the payment through Stripe.
What happens in a dispute?
If the horse arrives misrepresented or injured, or fails a reasonable vet check within the 48 hours, the buyer reports it. Our team reviews both sides; where a refund is due, we help reverse the payment through Stripe.
What does it cost?
Buyers pay a 4.8% + €69.99 protection fee on top of the agreed price, shown before you pay (€24.99 fixed on sales under €2,000). Sellers pay 3%, deducted from the payment to their Stripe account. No monthly fees, no hidden withdrawal charges — Stripe processes the card payment.
