Tierarztpraxis Mandelsloh has served Neustadt am Rübenberge for more than eighty years and has been led by Anke Janssen since 2010. Alongside small-animal clinics in Mandelsloh and Osterwald, the practice runs an ambulatory equine service that visits horses at home for everything from vaccination and colic treatment to the castration of young stallions. Broodmare work is a particular focus: swabs, cycle monitoring to time insemination, on-farm insemination and pregnancy scanning are routine, and a battery-powered portable ultrasound lets quiet mares be examined out in the paddock. A 24-hour emergency service covers equine patients, and the practice also looks after farm livestock.
