American Equus designs and sells equestrian products, including stirrups, spurs, riding helmets, gloves and riding apparel. Its stirrups are offered in models for jumper, hunter, dressage, western, polo and racing riders, and some include an escape safety release. The online shop also carries Suomy riding helmets, Saddle Box USA tack trunks and Spur-Tech spur straps. The company was founded by David Shano, who began by making a stirrup for his daughter.
