I. Stable note
In their own words.
Care4Mare in Gilze, run by Priscilla Verhees, specialises in renting out recipient mares for embryo transfer. It keeps a herd of more than 240 mares selected for fertility, size and temperament. The mares are housed in large indoor stables in winter and on about 15 hectares of pasture in summer. Veterinary care and embryo work are handled in cooperation with the equine clinic Dier-N-artsen, and embryos from outside are also accepted.
