Penshaw Equestrian Centre is situated at the foot of Penshaw Monument and is a British Horse Society approved centre. It offers riding tuition for riders of all levels, from young children to those preparing for BHS examinations. The centre runs a riding school and livery yard, with schooled horses for beginners and space for riders who bring their own horses. It has outdoor and indoor arenas and holds regular shows, monthly clinics and visits from guest instructors.
