Isländerhof Rutenmühle is a family-run Icelandic-horse farm in the Lüneburg Heath at Neuenkirchen, operated by Johann and Juliane Kath. The yard has an indoor school, a dressage arena, an oval track and a round pen, and runs holiday riding courses on its own Icelandic horses as well as taking guests who bring their own horse. It breeds and sells Icelandic horses and takes in young stock for rearing. Accommodation in three tiny houses on the farm lets riders stay on site for the length of a course.
