Hestar Grund is an Icelandic horse yard at the Sülteberg in Langelsheim, on the northern edge of the Harz, run by Jósef Gudjónsson. The yard teaches riding on its own Icelandic school horses, for children and adults alike, with a focus on the breed distinctive gaits. Hacks out into the surrounding countryside range from short rides to full day rides, and After Work Rides give adults an evening ride once the working day is over. Icelandic horses from the yard are also offered for sale. The setting on the Harz foothills gives varied riding terrain straight from the yard.
