Reitstall Smidt is a family-run riding stable at Bingum on the East Frisian dike beside the river Ems, near Leer. The yard runs a riding school taking pupils from the age of six and teaches dressage and jumping on its own horses. Beginner courses run through the summer holidays, and there is a pony games squad practising slalom and barrel racing. It also puts on holiday activities for children and teenagers, including sleepover nights with the ponies and campfire evenings.
