Reit- und Fahrverein AUETAL e. V.

The Reit- und Fahrverein AUETAL e.V. has been established in the Lüneburg Heath since 1958 and is one of Germany's best-known eventing clubs. Around 500 members aged from 8 to 80 keep up the traditions of eventing, carriage driving and hunt riding inside the Naturpark Lüneburger Heide. Its cross-country park covers five hectares of sandy heath, meadow and mixed woodland with roughly 50 permanent obstacles at varying levels of difficulty. A jumping arena, a 26 x 66 m dressage arena and further warm-up areas complete the site, and professional instruction is available by arrangement from May to September. The club stages internationally recognised spring and summer tournaments each year.
