Reit- u. Fahrverein Hämelerwald

The Reit- und Fahrverein Hämelerwald was founded in 1972 just outside the village of Hämelerwald near Lehrte. It is mainly a leisure-riding club but brings in outside instructors for dressage and jumping lessons. The yard has 7 pony boxes and 15 horse boxes, two of them outdoor boxes, with all-day summer grazing and winter turnout on outdoor paddocks. There is a small indoor school, a 20 x 40 m arena and hacking straight from the grounds, plus the club's own school horses and ponies. Lessons run for children and young people at the weekend and for adults during the week.
