Martin Boomgaarden is a hoof orthopaedist (Huforthopäde) based in Hesel, East Frisia. He practises Huforthopädie, an approach in which the hoof is corrected gradually so that it grows out gently for the horse's joints, tendons and ligaments, with each barefoot horse assessed individually. A new website is currently being built; appointments and enquiries go directly by phone or email.
