Pony-Gestüt Clus is the oldest pony stud in Germany, breeding at the former monastery estate of Clus near Bad Gandersheim in southern Lower Saxony since 1935. Around 30 German Classic Ponies live on the surrounding pastures, and the stud runs a covering station and rears its own colts. Since 2002 the estate has also held an FN-certified five-star riding facility with an indoor school, livery boxes and a children's riding school. The family competes in driving, tours with a Classic Pony show team, and hosts shows, driving days and clinics with the local riding and driving club.
