Islandpferde-Kayhausermoor is a stud farm on the edge of the Kayhausermoor near Bad Zwischenahn, close to the university town of Oldenburg in Lower Saxony. The stud breeds Icelandic horses selected for strong gait quality, a solid build and a clear-headed temperament, and has brought in bloodlines from Denmark to strengthen its breeding programme. Alongside breeding, the yard offers boarding and riding lessons, and regularly presents its young stock and sale horses to prospective buyers. The team shares foaling news, sales horses and stud updates with a following of Icelandic-horse enthusiasts.
