Gestüt Kastanienhof is a pony stud at Sage-Haast near Großenkneten in Lower Saxony, run by Julia and Timo Coldewey and breeding ponies since 1968. The yard combines stallion keeping, an insemination station with its own modern laboratory, a training operation and a sales business. Its stated aim is performance-ready and genuinely child-friendly ponies. Training covers lungeing, backing and competition preparation for the stud's own and for clients' horses and ponies, and livery places are available. Fresh and frozen semen from the station's stallions can be ordered online.
