Gestüt Hagewede is a sport-horse breeding operation run by the Heidmeyer family at Hagewede near Marl in Lower Saxony, under the motto "horse breeding out of passion". The stud keeps its own band of broodmares and raises the resulting foals and young horses on the farm. Homebred horses are offered for sale directly from the yard. Foaling and rearing places are also available to outside breeders, with a grazing season from May to October and daily checks. The pastures lie directly at the farm.
