De Schoone Weide is a stallion station for Frisian horses run by Obbe van der Weide and Margriet Schoonderbeek since 1988. It serves 450 to 500 mares a year and has its own laboratory as a certified SWS station for artificial insemination. The business moved to Ansen in 2011, where it has an indoor arena, stables and a youngstock barn. It also operates a training stable and a sales stable.
