Cheveley Park Stud in Newmarket is the town's oldest stud farm, bought and rebuilt by David and Patricia Thompson from 1975. It stands the champion two-year-old Vandeek and keeps over 80 broodmares. Mares visiting its stallions follow the Newmarket Stud Farmers' Association breeding regulations.
