Veterans and Equines Together is a nonprofit that offers equine-assisted therapy for veterans, their families and the community. Its core program, Project H.O.P.E., works with individuals, couples, groups and families. Sessions are run by a licensed mental health professional and a certified equine specialist working with horses. It also runs a six-week non-riding horsemanship class taught by veteran instructors. Sessions take place at several ranch and stable locations in California, including Novato.
