TGU Garthe, short for Tiergestützter Unterricht, is run by Sabine Garthe in Moormerland, East Frisia, and works with children through riding pedagogy rather than technical riding tuition alone. Sessions include play-based riding for children and young people, therapeutic riding for those with special needs, a pony club and relaxation riding. Group programmes are offered to schools and other institutions, along with children's birthday parties and hacks. Natural, species-appropriate handling of the horses underpins everything on offer, and courses also run with VFD Ostfriesland.
