Team Velvet, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that provides equine facilitated mental health services for children. Its horses, including a miniature therapy horse, work with children aged 5 to 12 who have experienced trauma, bereavement, grief or loss. The services are led by psychologist Dr. Susan Edwards and are provided at no charge to families. The therapy is funded through donations and grants.
