Stable Ground Therapy offers equine-assisted therapy, where evidence-based therapies are used alongside a horse as a co-counsellor. Sessions are aimed at people who enjoy being around large animals, including youth aged 6 and up and clients dealing with autism, anxiety, depression or ADHD. Horses give direct, in-the-moment feedback that clients can use to practise mindfulness and self-awareness. Individual sessions as well as group and family therapy are offered. The practice is based in Southlands, Vancouver, BC.
