Southern STARRS offers therapeutic riding and equine-assisted activities for special needs students of all ages and abilities. Its group sessions combine physical exercise, educational pedagogy and socialization to build independence and self-esteem. The program also runs community outreach with local schools and groups, along with volunteer training and special events. Volunteers help with classes, horse care and facility upkeep.
