River Valley Riders is a nonprofit organization that connects people with special needs with horses. Its equine-assisted services include therapeutic horseback riding and carriage driving. Lessons are open to students in the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area and western Wisconsin, from mid-April through late October. The programme is supported by over 200 volunteers and follows the safety and instructional guidelines of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International.
