Karsten Gemmeker runs a mobile equine osteopathy practice from Georgsdorf in the Emsland, travelling to clients across Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Equine osteopathy is used here to find and release movement restrictions and functional problems in the horse's body without medication. The toolkit combines osteopathic manipulation, acupuncture massage after Penzel, soft-tissue work and passive techniques, and he treats dogs as well as horses. He works in cooperation with veterinarians, farriers and trainers rather than in isolation.
