Lone Oak is a nonprofit animal-assisted therapeutic and educational service. It pairs clients with rescued horses that have experienced trauma, so that clients and horses can heal together. Services include equine-assisted therapy for individuals, groups and families, with a focus on children and veterans. The Lone Oak Learning Center also runs school programs for K-12 students that combine therapeutic services with horsemanship.
