Haven Acres is a faith-based youth mentorship ranch in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. It pairs rescued or adopted horses with at-risk youth, who work each week with a mentor and a horse during summer sessions. The sessions are free of charge and include chores around the farm and basic horsemanship. The program focuses on building trust, confidence and a good work ethic. Special programming is available for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children, with Deaf mentors and ASL interpreters.
