HALTER provides equine assisted services for children with challenges, including therapeutic riding, hippotherapy and equine assisted learning. In therapeutic riding, a certified instructor works with volunteers and horses to teach riding skills and social-emotional learning. Hippotherapy involves a physical or occupational therapist working with the horse toward specific therapy goals. Equine assisted learning is an educational, skill-building approach for participants.
