Piccolino is a therapeutic and pedagogic riding practice run by Gisela Christof in Martfeld, Lower Saxony. The approach is gentle and holistic: children and adults are introduced to horses without performance pressure or sport-style drilling. Sessions of remedial educational riding are offered for children and young people with and without disabilities, alongside adventure-education projects built around themes such as knights or Native American life. Groups are capped at six participants so that every rider gets individual attention, and birthday parties for children can be booked around the ponies.
