Breaking Free is a non-profit that uses horses to help people work through difficult life circumstances. Its programs serve local veterans, first responders, families and some at-risk teens. Sessions are mostly on the ground, with clients interacting with horses and then discussing and reflecting on the experience with a facilitator. A mental health specialist and a horse specialist design each session together.
