In their own words.
Bow Valley Equine Adaptive is a community program that offers horsemanship and therapeutic riding for individuals with physical, intellectual, and emotional challenges. The program runs sessions each spring, summer, and fall, and has been run at Camp Chief Hector YMCA since 2000. Participants are supported through the bond between riders and horses, with benefits described for physical therapy, muscle strengthening, and emotional well-being. Volunteers and community partners support the program, and the organisation was rebranded from Rundle Riders in 2024.
