BALU is a Munich-based non-profit organization offering therapeutic and social-pedagogical support for children, adolescents, and families, headquartered in the Sendling district at Zenettistrasse 20. Alongside outpatient educational assistance, family therapy, mediation, and supervised-contact services, BALU runs a dedicated therapeutic riding programme (Therapeutisches Reiten) at a stable in nearby Grasbrunn. Its equine-assisted sessions use horses to build trust, confidence, and emotional regulation in children and young people, often in coordination with local youth welfare offices. The organization also maintains satellite offices in Landsberg am Lech and Rosenheim, extending its reach across the greater Munich region.
