AFTEC is a nonprofit association in the Canary Islands that promotes equine-assisted therapies. Its equinotherapy service is a psycho-socio-emotional treatment for people with functional, psychic or sensory diversity, behavioural disorders, learning problems and social maladjustment. Sessions are led by a social integrator, pedagogue or speech therapist who works with horses. The activities vary according to each user's goals.
