In their own words.
Abundant Life Ranchers, also known as Juan Diez Rancheros, is a non-profit program that uses rescued horses in emotional healing sessions. The sessions are aimed at kids and young adults who have been abused or traumatized emotionally. Participants work with the horses in structured activities, with their counseling professionals and mentors supporting the process. The program is free of charge to those already receiving counseling. The site describes it as a member of the Faith Based Equine Assisted Philosophy Association.
