Smokemont Riding Stables offers guided horseback trail rides in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Rides range from one-hour and 2.5-hour trail rides to a 40-minute wagon ride along the Oconaluftee River. The stable keeps a herd of more than 60 horses, and guests are guided by staff on the trails. The family-owned business has operated since 1962 and is based in Cherokee, North Carolina.
