Travellers Rest Farm Sanctuary is a volunteer-run horse sanctuary in Maryland. It houses around 50 residents and provides retirement, rehabilitation and hospice care for senior, blind, disabled and slaughter-bound horses. Horses that come to the sanctuary are kept there permanently, and intake decisions are made individually. The sanctuary is funded by private donations and also educates the public about horses.
