I. Stable note
In their own words.
Stal Verschueren is a small-scale foal rearing yard in Baarle-Nassau that houses only mares. It cares for clients' filly foals up to their third year, working in small groups. In the first year foals spend days at pasture with a field shelter and nights in the stable, where they are handled, brushed and taught to lift their feet. Yearlings and two-year-olds stay at pasture around the clock with supplementary hay or feed when needed.
