Paardenrusthuis van der Wardt is a small-scale retirement home for horses in Woudenberg on the edge of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Since 2010 it has cared for horses that have reached retirement age or need long-term rest. Horses go outside daily, spend nights in their own box and are fed home-grown haylage plus concentrate. Vaccinations, worming and farrier visits can be arranged, and the owners live on site.
