I. Stable note

In their own words.

Hof Welkensiek is a listed 1823 half-timbered farmstead in Heiligendorf, a district of Wolfsburg, run by the Rauhaus family in its second generation. The farm combines an Icelandic-horse boarding operation and riding school with an organic (Bioland-certified) cattle farm producing Deutsch Angus beef sold directly to customers. For over 40 years the family has kept Icelandic horses, and since 1981 more than 5,000 adults, teenagers and children have learned to ride here in small, fear-free lessons on sturdy, sure-footed Icelandic ponies. The estate also offers riding holidays for children and young people, blending tradition with sustainable farming.
