In their own words.
Hidden Acres Rescue for Thoroughbreds (HART) takes in thoroughbreds retiring from the racetrack and promotes their physical and emotional well-being. It offers full-service boarding, where staff stand with owners' horses during vet and farrier visits, follow treatment plans, and groom horses when needed. Thoroughbreds available for adoption can be trained for riding, and many have competed in hunter/jumper, dressage and eventing. The organization also works with people, including at-risk youth, through the connection between humans and horses.
