De Gastwei is an overnight stop for horses and ponies, aimed at riders and carriage drivers on multi-day trail rides. The horses stay in a pasture in an old apple orchard that gives natural shelter from rain, wind and sun. It lies about fifteen minutes' walk from a bridle path in the woods that connects to the Veluwe trail. A riders' and drivers' route map of the municipality of Ede is also sold on site.
