I. Stable note
In their own words.
De Paardenboerderij is a retirement home for horses and ponies in the polder landscape of Stompwijk, run by Hans and Julia Duinisveld. It takes in elderly horses as well as middle-aged horses that can no longer be ridden. Horses graze in the fields in summer and are turned out daily in winter, with varied feeding and attention to group composition. Vaccinations, worming and hoof trimming are arranged, and owners keep ownership and can visit whenever they like.
