Aktivstall im Allertal is an active-stable livery yard at Gerstenbüttel in the Aller valley, running since 2008. Horses are kept as one herd across more than 2,500 square metres of separated functional areas on the HIT Aktivstall system, so they move continuously between resting, feeding and watering zones. Automatic concentrate and roughage stations dispense small, individually configured rations around the clock, and adjoining pasture is available in season. The yard takes on the full daily care of the horses so that owners can spend their time riding and handling rather than mucking out.
