Pferdehotel Nordsee is a specialized rehabilitation and therapy facility for horses and dogs with chronic respiratory and health conditions, located just steps from the North Sea dike in Butjadingen, Lower Saxony. Run by the Skovdal family, the facility offers halotherapy in its own salt chamber, Bol d'Air Equin oxygen therapy, physiotherapy, movement programs, and inhalation treatments, alongside a riding arena, oval track, round pen, and solarium. Horses typically stay for a minimum of three months to treat conditions such as COPD, RAO, chronic bronchitis, and asthma, while dogs can receive day treatments including hydrotherapy on an underwater treadmill. Owners can stay on-site in a dedicated vacation apartment while their animals undergo treatment in the healing sea-air environment.
