Reit- und Fahrverein Aschendorf is a riding and driving club in the Aschendorf district of Papenburg, founded in 1920 and based at its purpose-built facility on Hofer Kirchweg since 2005. The grounds hold a 25 x 60 m indoor arena with an adjoining clubhouse, an outdoor arena with a jumping course, 30 paddock boxes of 12 m2 each with an 18 m2 attached outdoor paddock, a wash box and solarium, and around 3.5 hectares of pasture. Riding lessons for beginners and more advanced riders are given by several instructors, on the rider's own horse or pony. Boxes are let to private horse owners with daily turnout included, and prices are quoted on request. Hacking country begins directly behind the club's grounds.

Stall Tunxdorf is a family-run Friesian horse yard in Papenburg-Aschendorf, Lower Saxony, with stabling for more than 30 horses. The Lemstra and van Ingen Schenau family breed Friesians and raise their own foals, following the DFZ and KFPS studbooks. Training services include breaking in, corrective schooling under saddle, driving training and preparation for breed shows. Marit van Ingen Schenau runs weekend riding clinics built around individual lessons for riders from beginner to advanced, rounded off with hacks through the Tunxdorf forest. Its centrepiece is a salt chamber in which horses and ponies inhale a medical salt aerosol, used to support respiratory, skin and immune conditions. Hengsthof am Wümmegrund is the training yard of Maren Schulze near Schneverdingen in the Lüneburger Heide, working in the classical-baroque tradition. Hof Reynsla Neele Schnirring

Hof Reynsla is a small farm on the edge of Osterholz-Scharmbeck where Neele Schnirring offers curative-educational work with horses (heilpaedagogisches Arbeiten mit Pferden). Sessions cover the whole business of being around a horse - leading it correctly, grooming, and first exercises in the saddle - taught individually and in a deliberately calm setting. New participants start with a trial lesson, after which weekly individual sessions or small groups of up to four are agreed. Multi-day holiday courses for children run from 10:00 to 16:00 and combine riding with looking after the horses. The horses live in an open stable and are hacked out, lunged and worked in hand by Neele herself so they stay settled for the sessions; an indoor school, outdoor arena and hacking country are available.
