British Showjumping is the membership body for showjumping riders, horses and ponies. Members become eligible to compete in its competitions. It also runs coaching and training programmes and academies.
Rudgwick & District Riding Club has run for over four decades with members across Sussex and neighbouring counties. It holds regular clinics, monthly dressage and other competitions, and social events.
South Brent Riding Club is an affiliated British Riding Club founded in 1985, in Area 19. It runs clinics, events, team competitions and a summer camp for members.
New Forest Polo Club has played polo at New Park, Brockenhurst since 1935. It offers affordable polo for adults and juniors, from beginners to professional players. The club encourages Pony Club members taking part in Pony Club polo.
Vaux Park Polo Club at Wigborough Manor near South Petherton, Somerset runs polo chukkas, matches and arena lessons. Chukkas run on Wednesdays and weekends, with matches most weekends. Members pay club and HPA membership.
Blackdown Hills Riding Club is a family-friendly riding club founded over 50 years ago. It runs training sessions such as polework and show jumping clinics and a range of events for members of all ages. A committee of volunteers runs the club.
The New Forest Pony Breeding & Cattle Society is the official breed society for the New Forest pony. It holds the New Forest Pony Stud Book and issues registration documents and passports. It sells publications and offers membership.
The Royal Armoured Corps Saddle Club at Bovington, Dorset, is a BHS-approved centre and Pony Club Centre Plus. It is a registered charity offering lessons, livery and competitions for military and civilian riders. It also runs BHS training and alternative provision.
Dorset Polo Club is on the Dorset coast near Sandbanks and is run by Jemima and Rob Brockett. It offers polo for beginners to experienced players, with club and instructional chukkas, lessons, stick and balling and pony hire or leasing. Membership covers summer and arena seasons.
The British Spotted Pony Society was established in 1976 and holds the mother stud book for the British Spotted Pony. It registers ponies, publishes rules of registration and a members' handbook, and runs a national breed show. It is run by volunteers.
Southdown West Pony Club is a branch in Area 11 of The Pony Club. It runs rallies, competitions, camps and fun days through the season, including a show at Hickstead. Membership is open to all ages.
Druids Lodge Polo Club near Salisbury, Wiltshire has offered polo coaching and play since 2004 at a former racing stables. It runs introduction to polo lessons, private and group lessons, instructional chukkas and club and tournament polo, with ponies provided. It also offers horse training and livery and hosts the Stonehenge Polo Festival.
The British Miniature Horse Society was founded in 1992 to promote the welfare, breeding and showing of miniature horses. It is recognised by DEFRA as a stud book for equines 34 inches and under. It issues passports, registers horses, licenses stallions and runs shows and championships.
Quantock Happy Hackers is a riding club based at Manor Farm, Broomfield, in the Quantock Hills. Members share the care and exercise of club-owned or loaned horses, hacking out in groups of at least two. The horses are not suitable for novices and have a 12.5 stone weight limit.
Carnmenellis Carriage Club is a non-profit carriage driving club in Cornwall formed in 1990. It helps carriage drivers enjoy their sport safely with the support of other horse lovers. It organises drives, events and social gatherings, from Shetlands to Shires.
Aspect Polo is a low-goal polo club based at Hurtwood Polo Club in Ewhurst, Surrey. It offers membership, fixtures and a polo school with lessons from Tuesday to Sunday. Livery and pony hire for stick and ball, practice chukkas and match chukkas are available on site during the polo season.
British Carriagedriving is the governing body for the sport of horse driving trials in Great Britain. It runs national championships and supports clubs and international teams. It publishes events, results and membership information.
Maidstone & District Riding Club is a local riding club that has run for over 70 years. It offers lessons, social activities, competitions and other events through the year. Members range from leisure riders to competitive riders.
Bookham Riding Club is a BHS affiliated riding club in Leatherhead, Surrey, and a member of British Riding Clubs Area 11. It runs competitions and training at its club field in spring and summer, including show jumping, dressage, showing, gymkhana and TREC. It sends junior and senior teams to compete locally and nationally.
Minninnooka Polo & Riding School in Chobham, Surrey offers polo lessons and coaching for juniors and adults, from first lessons to competitive play. It also gives English riding lessons, runs chukkas, holiday camps, Pony Club activities and corporate polo experiences. Livery may be available.
Burningfold Polo Club plays on the Burningfold Manor estate on the Surrey-Sussex border. It has two polo fields and offers coaching and ponies for hire. Players from beginners to experienced can join matches and chukkas. The estate also runs a wedding and events venue.
Horsham & District Riding Club was founded in 1967 and is affiliated to the British Horse Society. It welcomes riders of all levels, from novices to those competing at top events, plus non-riding members. It holds dressage, combined training, show jumping and an annual open horse show, as well as training sessions and camps.
Cowdray Park Polo Club in West Sussex calls itself the home of British polo. Polo has been played there since the first recorded tournaments in 1910, and it hosts the British Open for the Cowdray Gold Cup. Matches are played on several grounds on the Cowdray estate near Midhurst.
Beaufort Polo Club near Tetbury hosts polo for players from -2 to 18 goal and the Beaufort International. It offers coaching at all levels through the Beaufort Polo School. It also offers full and DIY livery with an indoor school, outdoor arena and six polo fields.
